Summer Sessions return to the Rock Hall this Wednesday!
by Pat on Jul.06, 2009, under Concert Calendar, Music News, Show Stuff
Starting this Wednesday July 8th the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum brings back it’s popular Summer Session concert series! Enjoy some of the best local acts teamed up with National bands for free right outside the Rock Hall on the beautiful north coast! From the Rock Hall’s website:
- The country and region’s most popular up-and-coming bands and artists will perform, many for the first time at the Rock Hall. The latest in web technology, webcasting and blogging, will allow concert attendees to watch the concerts live, relive their favorite concert moments and communicate with their favorite bands via blog posts. Each Summer Sessions artist or band has been invited to begin a blog on cleveland.com to share their experiences with fans: how they got started, their favorite things about performing live, their aspirations for the future and more.
This Wednesday starting at 7pm you can catch local experimental indie rock hero’s Mystery of Two:

Mo2 will be our in-studio guests on Sunday July 26th to debut music and talk about about their CD release party July 31st at the Beachland Ballroom with Hot Cha Cha!
Also on the bill Philly buzz band Man Man:
MAN MAN – “Mister Jung Stuffed”
The concerts will be broadcast live over at cleveland.com/sessions if you can’t make it to downtown Cleveland.
The other upcoming Summer Sessions:
July 22nd – Akron/Family and The Black Swans
Aug 5th – Chairlift and JJ Magazine
Aug 19th – Gil Mantera’s Party Dream and This is a Shakedown

Buy/Stream Chimaira’s New Album!
by Matt on Apr.15, 2009, under Music News
Chimaira frontman Mark Hunter shared the following on the band’s blog:
The Infection is coming out in less than a week and we find ourselves in a position that, in this day and age, is unique. With only six days until The Infection is released, our album has yet to leak on the internet. We would like to thank all of those who had their hands on the album that could have leaked our record but did not. The fact that this did not happen gives the album something that doesn’t exist for new releases these days: anticipation.
To our great fans, we want to ask for your help with reaching a goal. With each subsequent Chimaira release after Pass Out Of Existence, we’ve been able to outsell the previous record’s first week sales. In an era of downloaded music and an overall diminished market for CD sales, we want ask our fans to help us continue the trend of higher first week sales by going out and picking up The Infection in its first week.
As a way to get all of you to stop foaming at the mouth in anticipation, we want to say an early “thank you” by streaming the entire record on our Myspace tomorrow. We hope that you will hear the new stuff, love it as much as we do, and be inspired to go out and pick it up in the first week and make a statement for heavy music.
Check out what the previous Chimaira albums have done in their first week. Let’s beat Resurrection!
