Pat and Jim (Matt took the weekend off) finally got to an all music show the Sunday

What a blast this past Sunday as the guys welcomed The Jellybricks into the studios for an incredibly fun interview and live performance! fresh off of their International Pop Overthrow appearance The Jellybricks brought the rock that included an on the spot cover of Eric Carmen’s ‘Be with you’!

We had such a great time Sunday as we welcomed back Bill Stone from Paranoid Lovesick who showcased songs from two new releases ‘Tuxedo Avenue Breakdown’ and ‘Suburban Pop Allegro’. Paranoid Lovesick will be participating in this weekends International Pop Overthrow at the Beachland for a one time only Reunion/Farewell spectacle.

We also got a chance to meet Rob Duskey and the Rounders who dropped by to feature songs from ‘Cautiously Optimistic’ their incredible first effort to be released at the Brothers Lounge on the 19th!

Our good friend Christina Grozik is putting together Project Big Picture, a benefit for the town of Wilmington, which is in between Columbus and Cincinnati and has been pummeled by the recession. Here is her e-mail to me:

Hello fine folks of the world! I hope that both of you are well! I recently learned about the situation in Wilmington, Ohio. Over 10,000 lost their jobs after the DHL plant closed. I have made several trips there to speak with folks and it’s incredible to see their spirit. The town has a population of approximately 12,000. You get the picture. Devastating.

Well, in addition to doing a donation drive where we are collecting canned foods and winter clothing items…I have decided to give the folks of the town a mental break too. I am coordinating a variety type show that will be free of charge to them. I am looking for acts that will be volunteer their time to perform for this incredible community on November 29th. I have several venues on hold for this date and I’m working with the county, city, and the local food kitchen there.

I have recruited Mike Wendt (who did The End doc) to help with lining up local acts with me. Would you be up for brainstorming with him on any suggestions that you have for acts?
